Frankfurt Book Fair 2015 Just Got Over and it has been A FABULOUS BOOK FAIR 2015

The first three Fair days are for trade visitors only. On the weekend the doors for all those interested in books and media. More than 270,000 people know exactly where they will be come October. Each year around 7,103 exhibitors present their products and meet new business partners. On the weekend the Book Fair is all about our private visitors.

Main spotlight Topics at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2015

Asia– The Frankfurt Book Fair offers ample opportunities for exhibitors from the Asian markets.

Kids-The KIDS area is colourful, exciting and a “must” for anyone involved or interested in the children’s book community. Fair give insight into the “future of reading”, what children’s book markets in other countries are doing, and much more. Meet children’s book publishers, agents, digital service providers, illustrators, authors, and others.

Right & Lincence-The trade in rights, the procurement of titles for translation, the licensing of works for audio book adaptations and suchlike – these activities make up the core business of the Frankfurt Book Fair participants.

Gourmet Gallery-In one of the Frankfurt Book Fair’s most popular halls, you can sample a whole world of food, drink and indulgence. At the Gourmet Gallery, a large number of companies present their cookery and bakery books, wine guides, culinary travel guides, enhanced e-books and apps, as well as gift items and decorative ideas.

Education & Innovation-The Frankfurt Book Fair is also an important international platform for educational media of all kinds: More than 900 publishers, technology suppliers, service providers and other actors from the educational field gather here to do business, to network, to find new trends at the many publishing events around the Fair days.

STM & academic publishing-Everyone is talking about progress – our exhibitors actually show it! the home of specialist information, scientific publishing and education. As such, it’s the place for discourse about the dissemination and communication of knowledge and information – both today and in the future. The technologies and platforms used here are groundbreaking in the world of digital publishing and for its related business models. But the school classroom is also on the verge of a revolution, and is being increasingly digitised.

Self-Publishing -Indie authors and self-publishing companies are invited on Saturday, October 17 for a day-long programme on new developments and opportunities for self-publishers. Self-publishing has grown around the world to become a strong and vibrant community.

Art & Design– more than 300 exhibitors and all sorts of interesting people come together: publishers, museum and photo agency representatives, booksellers, designers, collectors, art enthusiasts, writers and many others.

Weltempfang-Is a place well known for its panel discussions, talks and readings with international authors, intellectuals and translators. This year its focal theme is “Borderlines”.

At the Frankfurt Book Fair 2015, the focus was also on, Frankfurt Antiquarian Fair, Comics, Libraries, Exchange, Digital &Technologies, Audio Books, International Diversity, Stationary & Gifts, Publishing solution & Book Trade.

The Book Fair 2015 just got over, but everybody is already looking forward to the next Fair at Frankfurt from 19 to 23 October 2016. Guest of Honour, Netherlands and Flanders.
